Step 2: Set Up a Pre-Editing System

Before you even open your editor, organization is key. Searching for clips, effects, and assets mid-edit is a major time-waster.

How to prep efficiently:

📂 Use a project template – Create a preset folder structure with dedicated bins for A-roll, B-roll, graphics, music, and effects. This way, every new project starts ready to go.
📂 Auto-import assets – Many editing programs allow auto-import folders, so assets like sound effects and overlays are automatically loaded into your project.
📂 Name files correctly – Ditch the default "Untitled_001" nonsense. Label files clearly so you don’t waste time figuring out what’s what.
